L.D. Davis Supports the Susan G. Komen 3-DayPosted on September 1st, 2011 by Maria Verros
When you’re doing well, it’s important to give back.
L.D. Davis has been in business for over 80 years, and is North America’s premier and largest protein adhesive compounder. L.D. Davis has a long history of manufacturing animal glue, also known as protein adhesive or hide glue, which are referred to as eco adhesives due to their biodegradability and non-toxic composition. We also manufacture liquid water-based adhesives and dextrin glues, which can be easily customized in a variety of ways, including color. In addition to our long history of manufacturing, L.D. Davis is also a distributor of H.B. Fuller and Ashland Chemical products such as hot melts, fugitive glues, and PUR glue.
L.D. Davis History
Now for the reasoning behind that little back story– L.D. Davis is a major supplier of adhesive to the bookbinding, packaging, and graphic arts industries and we have a wide variety of dedicated clients that keep us going year after year. We’ve been in business through three generations of owners, or over 80 years. We realize how important it is to give back to the community and share the success we’ve worked so hard to attain.
L.D. Davis 3-Day Support
For the past two years, our CFO, Michael Free, walked in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for breast cancer. L.D. Davis is building a history of supporting the 3 Day and is excited to be involved with such an amazing charity. This year, our new Sales Coordinator/Social Media Manager, Laura Standley, is contributing her time and energy to this worthy cause. The training and fundraising Laura is working on will help find a cure for breast cancer in the future. Requirements for the 3 Day include walking 60 miles over the course of the three-day long event, and each walker must raise a minimum of $2,300 in order to participate.
L.D. Davis is an incredible supporter of their 3 Day walker, beginning with a significant donation and also, moral support for her work raising $2,300 and training to walk 60 miles!
